Early this morning, 15th August, while families were asleep, a sudden cloudburst struck northern Pakistan. Within seconds, powerful floods swept through entire villages. More than 250 lives are feared lost, and so far, only 150 bodies have been recovered. Many are still missing. The destruction is heartbreaking. Homes have vanished, livestock has been swept away, and four vital bridges connecting communities have collapsed. Even a government rescue helicopter was lost, taking the lives of three brave rescuers. The rain is still falling heavily, and the government has declared a full emergency. Right now, thousands of people are stranded without shelter, food, or safety. Families are mourning loved ones while clinging to the hope that missing relatives might still be found. Muslim Rose Welfare is working day and night to recover bodies, search for survivors, and deliver emergency aid. But the need is far greater than what we can manage alone.
