1. How is Feeling Blessed different from other crowdfunding platforms?
While Feeling Blessed has the capability to host crowdfunding campaigns, that’s not all we do. Donations are only accepted for registered, pre-vetted nonprofits eliminating the guesswork for donors. We also provide a powerful backend to nonprofits for their donation management needs.
Instead of giving when solicited, we enable donors to choose when, whom to and how much to give to, whenever they’re feeling blessed. The app allows them to never miss an opportunity and be able to do so in a few seconds with funds reaching the charity instantly.
We are committed to growing the Muslim donation space. By leveraging technology, we want to make the act of giving so simple that it silences the voice that tells you to donate later, or worse, not at all. Our tech is built for the ummah to give more and have a greater impact on changing the world for better.
2. Which regions is Feeling Blessed compatible with?
Feeling Blessed has some out of the box compatibility features for nonprofits based in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom, and can be further optimized for region-specific needs.
3. Does Feeling Blessed issue tax receipts?
Donations through Feeling Blessed are tax deductible in many countries including the United States and Canada. For US donors donating to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, receipts emailed by Feeling Blessed can be used for tax purposes.
For Canadian donors donating to Canadian nonprofits, our receipts are currently not CRA compliant. While we work on adding this feature, please export your donation data from the dashboard to send donors tax-receipts.
4. Can donors allow us to Gift Aid their donations?
Yes. UK accounts have an additional set of controls, allowing for the collection of Gift Aid declarations from donors, and empowering users in those accounts to easily manage, export, and sync that information to any needed CRMs.
5. Do you have a setup fee?
No, there are no fees to register on Feeling Blessed.
6. Can donors cover fees and is donor coverage of fees tax deductible?
Yes, donors always have the option to cover fees. When a donor checks the box to Cover Fees, we increase their gift amount by an amount commensurate to the platform and processor fees we assess, so that their eventual gift after fees will be closer to the full amount they were originally intending to give.
As long as your donations in general are tax deductible, their increase to cover fees will be too.
7. What are Feeling Blessed’s fees?
Feeling Blessed charges a small fee to sustain operations. This is 2.5% of the donation amount however it is capped at $50* per transaction and waived for:
- Micro donations of $10** and less to encourage frequent giving
- Zakat donations
These waivers bring down our average fees to 1.3% across the platform.
Credit card or bank processing fees are separate. Since they are charged by our payment processor Stripe, we don't have control over them. In the US & Canada, they range anywhere between:
- 3.5% for Amex cards
- 2.9% to 2.2% + $0.30 for non-Amex cards
- 0.8% capped at $5 for bank transfers
Stripe fees in the UK are:
- 1.4% to 1.2% + 20p for European cards
- 2.9% + 20p for non-European cards
What you're seeing as processing fees on your donation despite marking it as Zakat is the payment processing fee charged by Stripe.

8. Is there a contract or some time period obligation?
No, there is no obligation to continue to use Feeling Blessed. No contracts, no minimums. We don't like to be locked into software contracts, so we don't do that to you. No one has ever left but we don't want you to be unhappy in a relationship you don't want to be in! We sure hope you won’t but you can certainly discontinue at any time.
9. Is there a monthly fee to use Feeling Blessed?
On the basic plan there is no monthly fee. You may upgrade to our premium subscription which has a monthly fee which varies per plan and billing preferences. Reach out to our team for more info at email@example.com
10. Which payment processors does Feeling Blessed support?
At the moment, Feeling Blessed is only compatible with Stripe. Read more about Stripe and it's pricing here.
11. Which payment methods can donors use?
Donors can use all major credit and debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. In the United States, Feeling Blessed users can also do direct bank transfers by linking their bank account to Feeling Blessed via Plaid, the same technology used by Venmo. Bank transfers are only available to donors that have registered an account with Feeling Blessed.
12. When and how do we receive funds from Feeling Blessed?
Feeling Blessed never holds your funds. All donations are sent immediately to Stripe which deposits them into your organization's bank account. You can control the frequency and settings of payouts from Stripe’s dashboard. You can set up automatic deposits at a frequency of your choice (daily, weekly, monthly).
13. Do we have access to donor data?
Yes, all data that the donor enters into their profile and at the time of donation is accessible to you from the Feeling Blessed dashboard.
14. Do I have to leave my current donation management service or CRM?
No, not at all. We only focus on getting you more donations online.
All of our data is exportable so you can import it and integrate it with your current system.It is possible to run multiple donation systems simultaneously as you evaluate Feeling Blessed. We're pretty sure you'll love it. :)
15. How long does it take to get started?
Registering your account takes just a few minutes if you have all the necessary information ready. After you register, we ask for up to 24 hours to verify your account before activation. Register here
16. How will donations appear on my donors' bank statements?
Donations via Feeling Blessed will appear on your donor's bank statements using the descriptor you set up in your payment processor i.e. Stripe. Stripe makes it quick and easy to modify your statement descriptor by providing the field to edit it available directly under your Stripe's Account Settings. Their only requirements are that it be intelligible and clear.
17. Can I embed donation forms on multiple websites?
You absolutely can! If you operate multiple websites or have partners who'd like to embed your donation forms inline in their websites, all that needs to be added is the code you generate from the dashboard.
18. Does Feeling Blessed provide annual giving summaries to our donors?
Yes, end-of-year giving summaries reflect the global total of a donor’s giving to all nonprofits using Feeling Blessed. We highly encourage you to also send donors an end of year giving summary receipt in addition to ours in case they donated to your organization using channels other than Feeling Blessed.
19. Do you offer a kiosk solution?
We do not believe in limiting ourselves with hardware compatibility requirements. The Feeling Blessed Terminal is an on-site and event fundraising app which allows you to collect donations using any Android smartphone or tablet without a credit card swiper. Simply use the device’s camera to read the card or enter details manually. There is no limit to the number of devices you can use it on. Donors no longer need to wait in lines to use a kiosk and you are not limited by the number of kiosks. Any number of available volunteers can turn their phones into donation terminals within seconds and walk up to donors to collect donations.
20. How to embed the code for a fundraiser in your website?
Create a empty file with .php extension and just copy-paste the code from the developer section of fundraiser.
